Tomorrow in Kenya there will be the first elections since the 2007 presidential race which resulted in widespread ethnic violence during which over 1000 people died and 600.000 more were displaced. A peace settlement among the two rivals factions was found after two weeks of intensive talks under the auspices of the United Nations but now, even though much has been done in terms of reforms to avoid such risks, many observers see a the possibility for a new escalation of violence.
An extensive post on the vote can be found on the Responsibility to Protect Campaign' website.
